Overalls are not just for the tradesmen/women or farmers. They have evolved overtime to become a classic, easy to wear staple fashion piece.

A couple of Sundays ago, with a little encouragement and stamp of approval from my roommate, she assured me that I looked awesome in my overalls. I was a little concerned that due to my vertical challenge height issues, that they may look foolish on me.  It was a gorgeous Sunday morning.  In the midst of our crazy schedules, we took a few minutes to get ready and style each other. And we had a sunny, clear blue sky as a wonderful back drop outside on our balcony.

So how did I make these work on such a shrimpy individual like myself? It is all in the proportionate length of the leg. It took me a couple of tries to roll the leg up to a height that fell to a complimentary length.  I also chose a feminine shoe.

Details matter! We are both very detail oriented people, so we tried to not leave any part of our outfits untouched. Meaghan was not wearing overalls, but looked amazing in her ensemble. I enlisted her to do a hair style that I normally would not wear; mostly because I am pretty untalented in the hair department. She creatively did a messy french braid. It seemed to work well with outfit.  In return, she borrowed my Western-inspired belt for her outfit.

Lastly, we were in awe of the gorgeous day that lay ahead of us. Perfect blue skies, the sun shining and fluffy white clouds danced in the distance. Couldn’t have really asked for a better morning!
