The Big Black Floppy Hat

So for us fashionistas out there, we all have the “little black dress” (maybe multiples in some cases).  Well why not also have the “big black floppy hat”? I am not even sure why I started liking the notion of it, but a light bulb just went off in my head last week and I thought that I could rock it! I did a little more investigating and found that lots of bloggers, celebrities and fashionistas all over the world were rocking a big black floppy hat.  Some looked fabulous in it, and some looked rather silly. Regardless, it appears to be a pretty popular item that many of us have or may want to consider having in our wardrobes.

So many people in so many ways can rock the flop!

I have never been a big hat person.  Maybe that is a bit of a lie. I do love a good toque in the winter. Baseball caps, fedoras, and any other head adornment do not do me any justice. I have big dumbo ears that stick out to the side, so I am often very conscious of that. In addition, I have an awkwardly shaped head, so that doesn’t help matters either. I must honestly say though, that the big wool floppy hat didn’t look half bad!

It doesn't look terrible! It could have been worse.

The hunt to find the big black floppy hat was a little exhaustive but I did have the help from a few great fashionistas. @20YS@Dia_Shams, and  @jessydust were all extremely helpful and supportive in helping me find it. The prized position was found at Forever 21.

Hurray! I found it! so much excitement!
